There are plenty nonpaying members that care about the site. Plenty that were paying then changed their minds after 6 months to a year of lots of downtime as well as due to the trolling you mentioned. Who the fuck wants to pay for that shit?!!! And just because someone pays most certainly does NOT mean theyre not a troll. I could point to a few very obvious particulars. And I think a paying vindictive assholio troll bitch is more likely to abuse flagging priviledges than the worthless non paying bottom feeding scum. There are surely non payers that are scum. But not all of us are. Many non payers have very specific and valid reasons for not paying. Tribe staff, Darran and most people in the know, and especially Shatter, should know these FACTS already though. So who's the complainer? Maybe only paying members should be allowed to complain or post anything on this tribe too. Then there would be like 4 people posting regularly. People keep saying Tribe is dead. It's only as dead as people make it. And maybe one day if the most relevant issued affecting the site and its members are dealth with in the best ways possible, then maybe more people will be happy to pay for the service again. But people arent going to pay to be harassed by troll bullshit. It's like Hostel. A handful of sick fucks were willing to pay. Most "normal" or semi-normal people dont want to be in that environment. It's abusive. Apparently an unavoidable, inevitable, unpleasant reality. -

They all revealed interesting lessons, but I can't remember the specifics.
One thing my experiments revealed is that it is easy to create hysteria and disruption. People will project all kinds of weird notions and fears onto an alt.
I could create an alt named "Jimmy" who claims to be an auto mechanic, is semi-illiterate and makes crude sexual passes. I never would create such an alt, but let's just say that is the script. Next thing you know, there would be some person claiming that this "Jimmy" is actually the man who used to lived down the street from them and tried to molest them when they were a kid and would hysterically bleat that "Jimmy" is stalking them. Another person would complain that Jimmy was a Neo-Nazi, and then someone else would complain about Jews, and the next thing you know, the whole thing would turn into an on-line race riot. People would project whatever issues they have onto the alt, even though those issues were way beyond the alt's script.
In other words, the problems the alt creates have more to do with people's reactions and projections than anything the alt actually did. -
