I used to have over 20 entries on the sent invitation page. They used to bother me, actually, because I couldn't delete them and most of those invitations to join tribe were never answered with either a yes or no, and were a sore spot with me that my supposed friends cared so little to neither accept nor decline, virtually ignoring my email inviting them to join tribe.

That was over 2 years ago, but they stayed in my "sent invitations" for about a year and a half. Now when I go to that page it is blank. I think it's a mistake (or bug) that they are gone, because there isn't a way to delete them, I've looked for a way many times. I think when there was the big crash last fall something happened to them. That is when they disappeared and never came back. That crash could have erased many people's "sent invitations".

But remember, sent invitations are for email invitations to join tribe. Friend invitations do not show up on the "sent invitations" page.

Because the original invitation doesn't send a copy back, whenever I get an invitation myself, I copy and paste what the person said, as well as the other data, such as their screen name and the date, whatever was contained in their invitation. So that they do have a record if they want it, via my accepting (in their incoming mail folder). And I have a record, via the sending of accepting (in my sent mail folder).

I used to send out funny invitations, depending on what I was thinking of at the time. But then I'd be all confused when they'd accept days later, as I had no idea what they were talking about.

Like one was something like "Accept this friend invitation before midnight tonight, and you win a brand new car! It will be the Hot Wheels car model of my choice".

Days later it was accepted, but the person asked about eligibility for the free car. I was so confused.

So, try to do what I suggested when you're responding to invitations by copying and pasting back to them their original invitation included below your response.

It's something that could catch on and people will do it automatically.
