i just wanted to use my dang credit card.
really.
$50 bucks in my beloved tribe's hot little orange paw.
and it kept giving me all the sh*t about using my paypal membership. i haven't used pay pal in yonks. i don't remember my password. or my user name.
and i know i could find that stuff out if i felt like being an evey more annoyed, stressed pregnant chick than i am.
but i'd rather spend my time suggesting that tribe just accept our payments, even if they are cc.

Re: annoying time trying to pay for premium
Wed, May 14, 2008 - 2:18 PMI'd do it if I could send a money order. No paypal for me either. -

Re: annoying time trying to pay for premium
Wed, May 14, 2008 - 2:23 PMthere's a check address, but i don't feel very confident, somehow, that they will make the connection between my check and my tribe account. i want an online pay type option that works with my cc's! i understand tribe would rather not have to pay cc fees. and i'm guessing avoiding cc fees is why if they can match your email to a paypal account they keep trying to bounce you into paypal land. but still, i'm guessing that they come out a good deal ahead if they take our money and pay the credit card fee instead of annoying us to the point where we quit trying to circumvent the paypal prompts and come here to complain instead. feh. -

Re: annoying time trying to pay for premium
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 5:17 AMthis has been brought up before. I believe Darren said he was working on a way to do that. Unfortunetly, it hasn't happened yet.
I'm with ya, I do not want to use paypal.

Re: annoying time trying to pay for premium
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 8:48 AMThere are a good number of folk who did just that. They snail mailed in a check/money order and got hooked up. It's a longer process but it works.
>> ... that they will make the connection between my check and my tribe account. <<
Anybody you write a check to can do this including a nefarious teller in the bank you have an account at. -

Re: annoying time trying to pay for premium
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 11:10 PMI'd send a money order...but I don't wanna use paypal....hey I'm sure it's a hassle for tribe to dal with other forms of payment...but for those of us who prefer anonymity and not deal with the tedium of paypal..it's an obstacle.
I like Tribe a lot and would like to make an *anonymous* donation that would spare me the burner wardrobe adverts...but that's me. -

Re: annoying time trying to pay for premium
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 12:34 PMwell, tribe might have more income if it would provide a better interface to pre-millenial times. just sayin'.
