Crappy Cropper

I thought it was about time for another thread (how many are they now? 100?) about how the photo cropper sucks.

It used to work for me about 50% of the time. Now it works 0% of the time.

    so, here's an idea...crop the photo BEFORE posting it on Tribe. That's what I do.

      This is what I've always done. I wasn't aware that Tribe had a photo cropping tool until I began reading about it's problems in this tribe. It's just convenient for me to crop before loading here when I'm in my personal gallery.

      But this is a quick fix for those who want to post an image and can't get their Tribe crop on.

      That is LAME! What if you want people to be able to view the full photo?

        Well how about resizing it before uploading it to Trbe?

        Or is this too complicated, too?

            How about fixing the problem? Instead of giving 50 ways to "make do"

            The fact is, if you want more people to join tribe, and pay, you have to make the fun stuff actually work first.

              that's what I think...I mean you surf by and half the stuff is broken.... do you surf on back the next day? Well yes I do...but most people wouldn't...most people wouldn't think twice about a return visit.

    Here's a potential workaround, though it's ugly: uninstall flash on your browser. Tribe tries to use the flash cropper, but if it can't find flash installed it reverts to a simple HTML version. That one is less capable, but it might be better than nothing.
