How about a feature allowing users to mark PM as spam? I've suddenly started receiving a lot of unwanted commercial offers via private messenger asking me to sign up for free ringtones by giving them personal identity information that I just don't give out to strangers. I should also point out that their user names and profiles look rather suspicious to boot.
I mention this because I've suddenly received a surge of these over the past week.

It's neither efficient nor effective really because it discourages people from reporting problem tribe users at an early stage when they might be stopped and deterred.

Ive suggested, as have many other likely, the obvious and simple function of creating a quickly accessible "spam" button in our inbox as well.
To simplify for everyone reporting spam.
Rather than the overly laborious, overly complicated way of having to find a working tribe email address for such reports,
copying the message from our inbox and then the url of the lying, spamming tribe "member",
composing an email using our external email service,
then pasting the the url of said member and their spamming email in that external mail service,
and then finally sending the email to ...??? some email address at tribe that still works!
This was suggested years ago. And some of the spammers i went through all the trouble to report to TRibe are STILL on tribe spamming people.

However, I think the spammers are just persistent and have the time and energy to continually find new ways to send these sort of things to all and sundry. I get the same amount of stuff via my other emails, it just goes into a spam filter more often is all.
Send the linkees of the offensive messages to abuse(at) tribe.net and they generally get taken care of, whether you get a response or not.
What amuses me to no end is that these spammers seem to have no clear grasp on the English language and thus,pretty much out themselves right there with their crappy English.
These people are definately ripe to the fucking with, however Plenty of people have good mileage out of finding different ways to mess with the evil spammers.. Google 419 and see what you can find.

As mentioned, I have reported the profiles mentioned above, and others used to spam via tribe to tribe abuse.
Yet the profiles were still up and active as of yesterday, even after reporting them. Thus the encouragement through lax antispam enforcement by tribe.
Not sure i want to spend anymore time on them though, as it would likely do little good at curtailing them.?
